Job Placement Assessments |
|
| |
The purpose of a Job Placement
Assessment is to ascertain if an employee can safely perform the
duties required of a position being offered and/or to assist the
employer in placing individuals into safe / appropriate job positions.
Through the use of the Essential Job Demands Analysis and/or through
an accurate and complete functional job description, IH2S
can develop a Job Placement Assessment for each job position and
then train the local providers to administer them. The Physical
Performance Test can also be incorporated into the Job Placement
Assessment. |

Physical Performance Testing |
|
| |
The purpose of a physical performance test
is to evaluate current employees to identify those who have physical
limitations that may put them at increased risk for injury. A treatment
plan is then created and implemented to address an individual's
physical deficiencies, thereby reducing the risk of injury. |

Not only does the examination evaluate one's
balance and functional capabilities, but it also screens for early
signs of neurological disorders, such as carpal tunnel disorder,
and it evaluates one's joint ranges of motions throughout the spine
and the extremities. |

This data sets a baseline for the
employee. So, if an employee experiences a work-related injury in
the future, the employer is only liable for the rehabilitation of
the individual to their baseline. This can therefore reduce the
costs of both medical and income benefits associated with a claim.
The test is based on physical demand requirements provide by the
client company or cooperatively developed with IH2S
through an Essential Job Demands Analysis |
