IH2S Medical Testing /Training

  Pulmonary Fitness Test
A screening technique for obstructive or restrictive lung disorders

  Audio Testing

Audiometric testing is a screening technique used to detect early or present damage to hearing resulting from exposure to noise. According to OSHA requirements, 29CFR I910.95, new employees who work in areas with sound exposure exceeding 85 decibels must have a baseline audiometric test within 6 months of initial hire and then they should be reexamined annually to monitor for changes in hearing.

  Respirator Fit Testing

This is a testing procedure to determine if a respirator is providing adequate protection from inhalation of contaminants. This testing is for employees who are required to wear a tight-fitting respirator and is required at least annually. Additional fit tests should be performed whenever the employee reports, or the employer, the health care provider, supervisor, or program administrator makes visual observations of, changes in the employee's physical condition that could affect respirator fit. Such conditions include, but are not limited to, facial scarring, dental changes, cosmetic surgery, or an obvious change in body weight. IH2S can provide our clients with either quantitative or qualitative fit testing.

Quantitative Fit Testing is a computerized test that measures for leakage in an employee's respirator face piece. Since the data is objectively gathered, information is accurate and reliable.

Qualitative Fit Testing is a test involving a testing hood and spraying either sweet or bitter solution. Qualitative Fit Testing is a subjective evaluation which relies on a worker's sense of taste and smell to evaluate whether or not a respirator has been properly fitted. Qualitative Fit Testing is only allowable for fit factors of 100 or less.

  First Aid / CPR Training

Knowing how to respond to a first aid or CPR emergency is one of the most important skills a person can possess. The Standard First Aid and CPR course meets the OSHA requirements and is your tool for training employees on the latest skills, techniques and expertise in life-saving procedures. The practice and feedback of using related skills in a realistic situation is integrated into the actual teaching experience.

  Bloodborne Pathogens Training

Bloodbome Pathogens are infectious materials in blood that cause disease in humans, including Hepatitis B and C and human immunodeficiency virus, or HIV. Workers who might be exposed to these pathogens risk serious illness or death. IH2S' Bloodbome Pathogens instruction meets OSHA's Bloodbome Pathogens Standard, 29CFR 1910.1030 and is your tool for training employees or members of your first response team for protection against infectious material. Since first aid responders are at risk for exposure to blood, OSHA requires that these individuals undergo Bloodbome Pathogens Training annually.

  Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Training

The first five minutes following an injury -and the immediate response from those on the scene - can mean the difference between life and death. The Automated External Defibrillation (AED) course is your tool for training employees and first aid responders who may be required to use an automated external defibrillation device.
